Yang Chen-yu was born and raised in Changhua and is very familiar with the local primary and secondary education system and the culture and history of the area. Yang advised that sann-tsa̍p-hōo is located in Xinsheng Village in Fangyuan Township. During the Japanese colonial era, the area was called Akitsu Village and was separated into three areas called “10 Households”, “27 Households”, and “30 Households”. Following the war, the village was renamed Guoguang and sann-tsa̍p-hōo began to refer to an area within Xinsheng Village. The name retains the standard Taiwanese Taigi pronunciation.
